Hi, I'm Krisztian Flautner.

I'm a computer architect interested in both human and silicon computers. I enjoy the struggle of turning ideas into products with impact.
I'm a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan and a co-founder of Replicam, a company building the most accurate models of the human brain. I've co-authored over 80 publications and received various best paper awards, including the 2017 ISCA Influential Paper Award for groundbreaking research in power-efficient computing, and the 2021 MICRO Test of Time award.
I was responsible for product strategy in Cisco's Emerging Technology & Incubation Group, following my tenure as CEO of Banzai Cloud, a startup Cisco acquired that turned cloud-native dreams into enterprise reality through cloud software. Previously, I served as general manager of the Internet of Things business unit and as VP of research and development at Arm. I received a PhD in computer science and engineering, as well as several other degrees, from the University of Michigan.
